@miesvanderrohe's Barcelona Chair and Stool made its debut at the Barcelona Exhibition of '29. Renowned for its Bauhaus, international presentation, the Barcelona Chair made its way into living rooms and movie sets alike. You might even find the notorious James Bond perched on this biscuit-tufted leather seat on the silver screen. Amy Lassila was drawn to the seat's ability to balance fashion and function. Hailing from Denmark, Arne Jacobsen made his mark on the design world by being one of the few to invent a revolutionary chair idea. The 1958 Swan and Egg chair would be followed by the Swan Sofa, making history. Barbara Hyde Evans chose this unique statement seat and has even featured the piece throughout her own design career.
