Madrona

This contemporary new construction in Seattle’s Madrona neighborhood is a study in simplicity in design. But as we crafted the kitchen and bathrooms of this project, we ensured nothing about the design feels compromised.

Black cabinetry doors paired with walnut surrounds and a full walnut island anchor the room, while black wall sconces flanking the hood stand out against a wall of white penny round tile. The interplay of black, white, and warm walnut gives the kitchen graphic contrast without losing its warmth, a balance that carries the whole design.

The primary bath continues that material story: Walnut cabinetry, a white quartz countertop, and black hex tile underfoot bring the same contrast and warmth into a more intimate space. It's proof that scale doesn't limit good design, only sharpens it.
