After walking through the house with our clients, our objective was clear. Transform this Palm Springs area luxury home from formal and highly detailed into a simple, soothing and modern Mediterranean desert retreat.

This full-scale remodel included redesigning the main kitchen, a butler’s pantry, wine cellar, and seven bathrooms. New custom cabinetry, lighting, plumbing fixtures, tiles and stone were selected. Interior architecture was modified to give the home contrast and architectural definition. The tile floors were replaced with wide plank hardwood to add a feeling of softness and custom stone mosaic was selected for the primary bath creating a luxurious, spa-like bathroom.

Once the interior architecture was designed, we turned to furnishing the home and adjoining casita. Bespoke furniture with a focus on comfort and clean lines was a perfect fit for the home’s transformation. Original art was selected or commissioned and custom window coverings were incorporated into the design. In combination with an uncomplicated and quiet color scheme, the design resulted in a home that conveys a peaceful and comfortable continuity. A perfect palate to complement the serenity of the California Desert.
