The challenge for Hyde Evans Design was to have a one-room space be multifunctional providing spaces for sleeping, dining, entertaining, TV viewing and working from home. A large screen, in a contemporary pink floral, divides the space in two.
It is not often that an interior design firm is asked to decorate in pink. Hyde Evans Design ran with it. To keep the space both sophisticated and bold, the pink was paired with hints of black and plenty of white. Either end of the space became an art gallery for the owner’s extensive art collection. Hyde Evans designed the custom media cabinet in the living/dining area. The floor to ceiling étagère, in the sleeping area, was designed by Hyde Evans and fabricated from plumbing pipes then painted white.
The condo will be featured in an upcoming design publication.
